Q. Initial configuration for SPA921



SPA921 VoIP phone is ideal for a residence or business using a hosted IP telephony service or IP PBX. The line can be configured as a unique phone (or Extension), or can be configured to share a number that is assigned to multiple phones. Below is the instruction on how to manually register the SPA921 to your VoIP provider or IP PBX.</p>

Step 1: 
Connect the SPA921 to your network. Make sure that the device is properly connected. If the device is not properly connected to the network, the KB16725-001_EN.png  button will light up red.

Step 2: 
Check the IP address of the device. Press KB16725-002_EN.png and then choose option 9 on the list. The IP address will be displayed on the LCD panel.

Step 3:
Access the setup page for the device by typing the IP address of the SPA921 on your Internet Explorer (e.g. <a href="http://192.168.1.101/">http://192.168.1.101</a>). By default there is no username or password for the device. Click on Admin Login and then Advanced.

Step 4:
Click on the Ext tab.

Step 5:
Set Line Enable to 'yes' and then put the User ID, Password, Proxy and Outbound Proxy. After you put the correct information from your VoIP provider, click on KB16725-006_EN.png.

Step 6:
To verify if the device is already registered, go to the INFO tab and then check the EXT Status.
