Q. How do I configure page group on SPA-962 behind SPA-9000?

Note: Before doing this article, make sure that all IP phones are registered to SPA-9000 and can make and receive calls locally using their corresponding extension numbers.</p>

Step 1:
Access the web based setup page of the SPA-962. Verify the IP address through the LCD. Click on the Menu button then press 9. It should show you the DHCP IP address. Open a browser and type the ip address.

Step 2:
Click on Admin Login and then advanced.

Note: The SPA962 does not have a username and password by default. If you are asked for a username and password, it means that the SPA962 is locked. You need to verify this with your VoIP provider

Step 3:
Go to the user tab of each IP phone on the network and enter the word "pagegroup" on the speed dial field and hit submit all changes.

Note: The IP phone that has this setting can now initiate a group page locally to all IP phones on the network by dialing the corresponding speed dial number (2) followed by the (#) key.  The pagegroup feature for SPA-962 phones is designed to work with SPA-9000 only.  There's no guarantee that it will work on a third party IP/PBX system.
