Checking the Wireless Settings on a Cisco VOIP Router

Q. How do I get the wireless settings on my network?



The wireless settings that you need to take note of are:  </p>

a.)   SSID
b.)   SSID Broadcast
c.)   Wireless Security 

To check the wireless settings on the Linksys router follow the steps below.

Step 1:
Access the router's web-based setup page. For instructions, click <a href="../../../../en/US/products/ps10024/products_qanda_item09186a0080a35691.shtml">here</a>.

Step 2:
When the router's web-based setup page appears, click Wireless.

Step 3:
Look for Wireless Network Name (SSID). If it's still set to "linksys", change it to something unique and take note if Wireless SSID Broadcast is Enable or Disable.

Step 4:
Click the Wireless Security and take note of the current Security Mode.

If Security Mode is set to WEP
