Switchvox Engin Configuration with Screenshots
Overview
- With changes in the engin Network and BYO device configuration, the following guide is a working example for Switchvox systems.
- You Require you can get these from the engin self help portal.
Engin SIP Username _____________ Engin SIP Password _____________ Engin Outbound Proxy (eg. Koala1.byo.engin.com.au)
Instructions
- Log into your Switchvox Web Admin interface (https://ip.of.switchvox/admin)
- The Default Username is admin with password admin
- Select Modify for your Engin SIP Account
- Select "Click to Show advanced options"
- Fill In The Following Information.
SIP Provider Name : Engin - Phone Number Your Account ID : SIP Username Your Password : SIP Password Hostname/IP Address : byo.engin.com.au Callback Extension : The inbound calls extension DTMF Mode : RFC2833 (Advanced Section) Host Type : Provider Supports Changing Caller ID : No Caller ID Name : blank Caller ID Number : blank SIP Port : 5060 SIP Expiry (in seconds) : 120 Proxy Host : Engin Outbound Proxy eg. Koala1.byo.engin.com.au Authentication User : SIP Username Always Trust this Provider : Yes Always Send Early Media : No Apply Incoming Call Rules to Provider : Yes SIP Provider Host List : Add your Engin Outbound Proxy Map Distinctive Rings : Leave Blank Provider Codecs : Tick ULAW and ALAW Qualify Hosts : No Voicepulse Connect DID Workaround : No
- Click Modify SIP provider to apply the changes.
- Check under system status that the system has registered with engin.
All Done
- You should now be able to make and receive calls via engin with the new proxy configuration.
- If you have trouble receiving inbound calls, check you have set "Route all calls from unkown host" in System Setup, Inbound Calls.
- For outbound call problems run the Switchvox Diagnostic Tool.
