What is an FXS Port?
FXS Ports are used to connect to analog telephones. These are known as POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) lines.
- FXS is an acronym for Foreign eXchange Subscriber.
- FXS ports generally will deliver a dial tone, current and voltages to a telephony device.
- FXS ports are the equivelent of your own wall socket to plug a telephone into.
The FXS port is different to an FXO port.
FXS Modules for Digium Cards
Digium card FXS modules are usually green.
- S100M - Discontinued, see S110M.
- S110M - Is a single FXS module.
- S400M - Is a 4 port FXS module.
