Q. How do I configure IP Dialing on a PAP2?



This article assumes that you have two PAP2-NA and you want to configure them within the LAN. To set them up so that they can call each other, then you may follow the steps below. Lets also assume device A's IP address is 192.168.1.50 and device B's IP address is 192.168.1.51.  </p>

Setting-Up IP Dialing 

Configure these parameters in device A:  

Step 1:</strong>
Access the PAP2's web-based setup page. For instructions, click <a href="../../../../en/US/products/ps10024/products_qanda_item09186a0080a35a29.shtml">here</a>.</p><p><strong>Step 2:
</strong>Once the PAP2's web-based setup page appears, click <strong>Admin log-in</strong> then <strong>Advanced View</strong>.</p><p>5183-001.png</p><p><strong>Step 3:</strong>
Click <strong>Line 1. </strong></p><p>5183-003.png</p><p><strong>Step 4:</strong>
Scroll down and look for SIP settings section. Set <strong>SIP</strong> <strong>Port</strong> value to <strong>5060</strong> then click <strong>Save Settings</strong>. </p><p>5183-005.png</p><p><strong>Step 5:</strong>
Click Line 2 and under SIP settings section set <strong>SIP Port</strong> value to <strong>5061</strong> then click <strong>Save Settings</strong>. </p><p>5183-007.png</p><p><strong>Step 6:</strong>
In Line 1 and Line 2 tabs, under Proxy and Registration section, make sure all fields are blank or <strong>no</strong> and set <strong>Make Call Without</strong> <strong>Reg</strong> to <strong>yes</strong> and <strong>Ans Call Without Reg</strong> to <strong>yes</strong> then click <strong>Save Settings.</strong> </p><p>5183-009.png</p><p><strong>Step 7:</strong>
Under the <strong>Line 1</strong> tab, go to the <strong>Subscriber Information section</strong>, and set <strong>Display Name</strong> to what you want to be displayed when you call. Set the <strong>User ID</strong> to <strong>11</strong> and leave other fields empty then click <strong>Save Settings.</strong> </p><p>5183-011.png</p><p><strong>Step 8:</strong>
Under the <strong>Line 2</strong> tab, look for the <strong>Subscriber Information section</strong> and set <strong>Display Name</strong> to what you want to be displayed when you call. Set the <strong>User ID</strong> to <strong>12</strong> and leave other fields empty then click <strong>Save Settings. </strong></p><p>5183-013.png</p><p><strong>Step 9:</strong>
